SUMMARY OF POSITION

The purpose of the Data Systems and Analytic Department at the Maine Health Management Coalition is to be the acknowledged and respected source of health care data and analytics that informs goal setting, evaluation, purchasing, consumer choice, and risk arrangements for payment reform and system redesign in Maine. This analytic asset is an important tool for purchasers and providers working to transform care and a fundamental benefit for all MHMC members.  The Director’s role is to lead this department, develop and execute on a sustainable strategic plan and to achieve excellence in a changing competitive landscape.  The Director is also expected to play a leadership role integrating with the Department with national efforts striving to achieve similar objectives.

The Betsy Lehman Center for Patient Safety and Medical Error Reduction (BLC) is seeking a creative, resourceful and experienced Operations Manager.

The BLC was re-established by Chapter 224 of the Acts of 2012, An Act Improving the Quality of Health Care and reducing Costs through Increased Transparency, Efficiency and Innovation, as an independent state agency supported by the Center for Health Information and Analysis (CHIA).  It has a broad mandate to advance patient safety in Massachusetts through research, dissemination, and provider and public engagement.

CHIA’s Finance Unit is seeking a Financial Analyst who is excited about working in a team atmosphere to help realize the agency’s fiscal goals.  The successful candidate will be responsible for the oversight and processing of procurements, accounts payable, accounts receivable and financial reporting.  Additionally, s/he will play a key role in budget forecasting, submission of the agency’s annual spending plan and budget request, federal grant reporting, as well as general fiscal/operational oversight and other tasks as required.
