CHIA is seeking an experienced healthcare quality measurement professional to help shape future public reporting and analysis of Massachusetts statewide quality data.  The Quality Measurement Specialist will lead healthcare quality data analytics and provide expertise on constructing, calculating, analyzing and reporting quality measures using All Payer Claims Data (APCD), hospital case mix and clinical data.  S/he will create a framework for reporting and analysis, and will supervise one to three analysts.

The Project Manager for CHIA is an exciting career building opportunity to work with Massachusetts Center for Health Information and Analysis.  There are multiple in flight projects including implementation of a new website, building of an Enterprise Data Warehouse that will provide ample intellectual challenge to the successful candidate.  We are looking for an energetic and enthusiastic candidate that wants to make a tangible impact on a critical component of the Commonwealth’s healthcare reform program.

Background:

The Betsy Lehman Center for Patient Safety and Medical Error Reduction (BLC) seeks an energetic, resourceful Health Policy Analyst for September-December 2014, with the possibility of extension.

Originally established in 2004 within the MA Department of Public Health, and after a several year hiatus, the BLC was recently reestablished as an independent agency within the Center for Health Information and Analysis. The BLC has a broad mandate to improve patient safety in Massachusetts. It is named after Betsy Lehman, the Boston Globe health journalist who died from an overdose of chemotherapy in 1994.

This full-time position is located in the Health Economics Program of the Health Policy (HP) Division.

The Health Economics Program in the Minnesota Department of Health is the state's premiere location for conducting objective, applied health care market and policy research. The Health Policy Research Scientist Supervisor 2 is responsible for leading original research and data collection projects that provide critical information for the Commissioner of Health, the administration, lawmakers and health reform leaders as they make policy decisions in one of the most innovative and dynamic policy environments in the country. The Temporary Director of External Relations will assist the Executive Director in communicating the Betsy Lehman Center’s (BLC) current plans and future goals with a wide range of stakeholders and the media.  The Director will assist the BLC’s Executive Director in developing and implementing an external relations strategy, maintain a list of stakeholders including policymakers, researchers, and organizations representing healthcare providers and patients.  S/he will organize and participate in outreach meetings between the Executive Director and external stakeholders, and maintain records of those meetings
