Duties:

The mission of the Center for Health Information and Analysis (CHIA) is to monitor the Massachusetts health care system and to provide reliable information and meaningful analysis for those seeking to improve health care quality, affordability, access, and outcomes.

The Project Manager for CHIA is an exciting career building opportunity to work with Massachusetts Center for Health Information and Analysis.  There are multiple in flight projects including implementation of a new website, building of an Enterprise Data Warehouse that will provide ample intellectual challenge to the successful candidate.  We are looking for an energetic and enthusiastic candidate that wants to make a tangible impact on a critical component of the Commonwealth’s healthcare reform program.

The deadline to apply is November 20, 2014 with a salary range of $65,000 to $85,000 annually.

Detailed Duties:

Create and manage the project delivery schedules for the various CHIA initiatives

  • Create and manage a master schedule containing the critical path for CHIA projects
  • Manage risk, action items, issues, and dependencies for each project
  • Coordinate project meetings and hold team members accountable for delivery of project tasks
  • Provide status reporting to management
  • Adhere to CHIA’s project development lifecycle

Qualifications:

Minimum of 3 years of experience working in an IT environment

  •  Minimum of 2-3 years of experience managing technical projects
  •  PMP or CAPM a plus

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced knowledge of MS Project
  • Strong oral and written communications skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and documenting project management activities
  • Specific experience delivering projects while adhering to a well-defined project development lifecycle
  • Familiarity with software development project lifecycles (SDLC)
  • Understanding of project management methodology (Waterfall, etc.)
  • Working knowledge of all functional areas of IT including infrastructure, operating systems, network, problem and change management
