The Center for Health Information and Analysis (CHIA) is seeking a Provider Financial Operations Manager for its Provider Financial Analysis unit. As an essential member of the unit’s leadership team, the Manager will play a key role in collecting and disseminating provider financial information that will be used by the Massachusetts legislature, health care payers and providers, the business community, and health care consumers to inform important health care finance and policy decisions.
The preferred candidate will have:
- At least five years of full-time or equivalent part-time professional experience, preferably within a public administrative or public health environment. Experience in healthcare, data management, financial analysis, health policy, economics, or a similar field is strongly preferred
- Two of the five years of required experience must have been in a supervisory or management capacity
- Applicant must have a bachelor’s degree. A graduate level degree is strongly preferred
- Strong analytic and technical skills, and the ability to translate complex financial data into consumer-friendly reports
- Experience with health care cost and financial data reporting
- Demonstrated knowledge of database and data structures as well as of general systems technology
- Accountable for delivering high quality work individually and through others
- Broad understanding of the health care provider market
- Demonstrated knowledge of basic accounting and financing concepts, and quantitative data analytics
- Excellent project management and leadership skills, with demonstrated ability to plan, prioritize and delegate tasks, and to lead/mentor a team of staff through project completion
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Creative, flexible, and self-motivated with excellent judgment
