The mission of the Center for Health Information and Analysis is to monitor the Massachusetts health care system and to provide reliable information and meaningful analysis for those seeking to improve health care quality, affordability, access, and outcomes.
This position is an opportunity to work with a team on the cutting edge of medical claims analysis and health care reform in Massachusetts. The Business Intelligence (BI) Specialist will work with the agencies SQL Server and Netezza assets. Responsibilities include the design, development, implementation, management and support of mission critical enterprise BI reporting and Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes. The BI Specialist work with large databases using Microsoft SQL Server 2012, ETL (DataStage) and Netezza development tools, and BI tools.
This position will specialize in working with Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE) tools, and will be responsible for working with the Business community to develop semantic layers and build interactive dashboards, ad hoc query interfaces, and enterprise reporting capabilities. Work will involve development and implementation of the All Payer Claims Data (APCD) and Case Mix Warehouse applications. The individual will became a knowledge expert on APCD and claim level based data and will Provide technical assistance and cross training to other team members.
