Duties:
The mission of the Center for Health Information and Analysis (CHIA) is to monitor the Massachusetts health care system and to provide reliable information and meaningful analysis for those seeking to improve health care quality, affordability, access, and outcomes.
The Pricing Policy Analyst will contribute to the development of innovative, data driven pricing methods, and provide analytic support within the Pricing Policy Group for certain health care and other services purchased by state agencies, including MassHealth. S/he will perform financial and statistical analysis of costs, service utilization, and other data to develop payment methodologies and inform policy decision-making. Other projects might include conducting research, and the creation and use of alternate tools for data collection, such as provider surveys. The Analyst will deliver results in writing and in oral presentations, and prepare relevant regulatory documents for promulgation by the Executive Office of Health and Human Services.
