The Betsy Lehman Center for Patient Safety and Medical Error Reduction (BLC) is seeking a creative, resourceful and experienced Temporary Operations Manager through December 2015 with the possibility of extension.
The BLC was re-established by Chapter 224 of the Acts of 2012, An Act Improving the Quality of Health Care and reducing Costs through Increased Transparency, Efficiency and Innovation, as an independent state agency supported by the Center for Health Information and Analysis (CHIA). It has a broad mandate to advance patient safety in Massachusetts through research, dissemination, and provider and public engagement.
Preferred Qualifications:
Applicants should have at least five years of full-time (or equivalent part-time) professional experience in business or public administration or management. A graduate degree in health care administration, business administration, or public administration is preferred.
Applicants also should have:
- Excellent oral and written communications skills
- Demonstrated ability to plan, prioritize, and manage multiple competing priorities on a fast track timeline
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a small but growing team
- Desire to work in a startup environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint
