This position serves as the business systems analyst for department-wide data management.  The Business Analyst will support the Data Management Program Manager in assessing the Iowa Public Health Tracking Portal's current governance structure, potential data sets for inclusion, writing business requirements for data application development, perform data validation, and monitor work plans and timelines, including development, testing, and outreach.

Reporting to the Director of Data Compliance and Support, the Manager of Hospital Data Compliance oversees collection of discharge-level data for one of the Center’s key data assets – the Hospital Case Mix files.   The Manager of Hospital Data Compliance works closely with the Director to develop and implement policies and procedures surrounding data collection to ensure the quality and timeliness of data. S/he supervises a staff of data liaisons and is responsible for the day to day work with the providers to ensure accurate and timely submission of data.

The Staff Fellow (Health Services Researcher) serves as a member of the AHRQ Quality Indicators (QI) team, providing technical expertise in developing, refining, disseminating, and advancing the QI methodology and products. The AHRQ QIs are a critical part of the AHRQ/CDOM array of health care decision making and research tools developed for use by program managers,researchers, and others at the federal, state, and local levels.  Major assignments involve participating as a member of the AHRQ QI team in project formulation; planning and carrying out complex quantitative and methodological research; providing technical oversight of analytic activities; analyzing findings; and preparing reports presenting results.
