Business Analyst - Iowa Dept of Administrative Services
This position serves as the business systems analyst for department-wide data management. The Business Analyst will support the Data Management Program Manager in assessing the Iowa Public Health Tracking Portal's current governance structure, potential data sets for inclusion, writing business requirements for data application development, perform data validation, and monitor work plans and timelines, including development, testing, and outreach.
This staff member will make recommendations for additions to and enhancement of the tracking portal and will support the expansion of the portal, including evaluation of user needs and program engagement. This position will serve as a liaison, facilitate communication among data owners, and work to develop standards for data management, collection, and analysis. This person will also provide consultation to Iowa Department of Public Health (IDPH) staff, other state agencies, and researchers regarding IDPH data sets, tracking portal, and data requests.
Minimum Qualifications Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business/Public Administration, Management Information Systems, Industrial Management or Statistics and experience equal to three years’ full-time management analysis or project management work.
