Summary
Lung Cancer Alliance (LCA) is seeking a Data and Evaluation Manager to coordinate data collection and monitoring for the LCA Screening Centers of Excellence Network. This is a network of almost 400 mostly hospital-based screening programs that have committed to following best practice screening guidelines, including using appropriate screening protocols, conducting smoking cessation counseling and involving a multidisciplinary treatment team for the evaluation of findings. In addition, LCA works with hundreds of cancer centers, many of which have multidisciplinary lung cancer treatment teams who serve the approximately 200,000 Americans per year who are diagnosed with lung cancer. This individual will help build capacity to assess and monitor these treatment programs as well.
Essential Duties
- Coordinate application review and collection of attestation forms from screening programs.
- Create and execute strategy for updating institution information on a regular basis.
- Create and execute metrics collection strategy to assess program and outcome measures.
- Prepare reports and updates of program status.
- Work with Director of Science and Research to evaluate findings of data collected from programs in the network.
- Develop process and implementation strategy to evaluate lung cancer treatment programs for inclusion on the treatment center referral webpages.
- Other duties as assigned.
Skills/Requirements
- Commitment to LCA’s mission and vision.
- 5 years of experience in program management and/or data collection.
- Bachelor degree required, Master degree preferred in public health or other relevant field.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent computer skills, including experience working with database and/or spreadsheet programs.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.·
