Position Title: QA and Report Analyst
Reports To: VP of Analytics and Data Operations
Job Classification: Exempt, Full-time
JOB DESCRIPTION:
CIVHC is a rapidly growing nonprofit healthcare services organization. We are looking for a QA and Report Analyst who knows that a report is more than just data, but an actionable business document. The ideal candidate will be as comfortable working with SQL on the server as they are in creating dashboards in various business intelligence tools. Curiosity and willingness to explore within the data are a must to be successful in this role.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform analysis and reporting utilizing various BI and other tools.
- Interpret data and analytic results to produce actionable conclusions.
- Work closely with customers, both internal and external, to identify and prioritize business needs.
- Provide accurate and actionable reporting by utilizing multiple techniques to QA reports based on analysis of a large and multi-dimensional health care data set.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science or similar field
- Experience with health care performance measures, quality metrics, and value
- 2+ years data analysis experience, claims data experience strongly preferred
- Strong knowledge of and experience with reporting packages (Microstrategy) and database design and reporting (SQL)
- Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing large datasets (Excel, SAS, R)
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
- Adept at queries, report writing and presenting findings
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to work at a computer for extended periods
- Ability to travel to and from meetings and appointments
