This posting will be used to fill three Business Solutions Improvement Coordinators within the Business Solutions Office (BSO) at the Department of Human Services (DHS). The BSO was recently created to provide coordination across administrations and with the State's IT department (MN.IT) on IT projects and needs.

These positions are part of a team of enterprise-level strategic planners established to ensure analysis, planning and coordination across DHS administrations, MN.IT Services and associated external partners impacted by DHS programs, strategic planning and IT projects. The incumbents will engage business and IT management in long range and short range tactical planning to connect projects and optimize the State’s use of funds for technology solutions to meet business needs. This position serves as a content expert on business architecture necessary to successfully modernize and develop integrated, person-centered human services IT systems; and national and state policies, laws and regulations necessary to implement program requirements and leverage funding to support IT transformation.

These positions will provide consultation and analysis while leading enterprise-wide planning efforts associated with major system modernization. The incumbents will lead major systems planning initiatives and negotiate decisions between DHS, MN.IT Services, counties and other stakeholders that will enable the State to target and sequence IT and business-side projects and prudently invest increased resources in systems modernization efforts.
