This Health Data Analyst plays a key role in supporting the development and ongoing administration of Oregon’s Health Care Market Oversight Program. This position will be responsible for conducting analyses to determine potential impacts of and outcomes from material change transactions between health care entities, including negative impacts on access to affordable health care, impacts on cost trends and cost growth trends, impacts on costs to consumers, and changes in the quality of care.
This position will also be responsible for conducting analyses of health care consolidation in Oregon.
This position works with complex health care claims, encounter, and enrollment data to produce summary statistics, performance measures, and other indicators, and will be responsible for developing analyses, data validation, process improvement, and report generation.
The Health Data Analyst will work closely with other analysts in Health Policy & Analytics, including the All Payer All Claims Program, the Hospital Reporting Program, and the Sustainable Health Care Cost Growth Target Program. This position will work collaboratively with analytic, policy, and program staff across OHA as well as other agencies.
