Planning and leadership responsibility at a senior professional level for the Green Mountain Care Board. Develop, design, and implement change processes to enhance the health care databases used by the Board. Assume subject matter authority regarding health care data sets including VHCURES (Vermont Healthcare Claims Uniform Reporting and Evaluation System) and the Vermont Uniform Hospital Discharge Data Set (VUHDDS) databases. Design and develop sophisticated multivariate analyses to monitor GMCB’s regulatory efforts, including evaluation of the federal All-Payer Model (APM) agreement. Incumbents in this class interact with other state health agencies, insurers, and work groups, committees, and policy makers as to identify health care information needs and develop and present targeted analysis and reporting. Duties are performed with significant independence governed by organization-wide policies and goals and have decision making authority with guidance by Health Services Researcher.
Work is performed in a standard office setting, but travel may be required for which private means of transportation should be available.
Master's degree in public health, health care administration, health care profession, public administration, business administration or related field with academic work in statistics, policy, planning, health care-related research AND three (3) years or more at a professional level in statistical or policy analysis, business or public administration, health care services where the duties included any combination of analytical work and statistics, professional report writing and involvement in program and/or policy development.
Bachelor's degree in public health, health care administration, health care profession, health and human services, business administration or related field with academic work in statistics, policy, planning, health care-related research AND four (4) years or more at a professional level in statistical or policy analysis, business or public administration, health care services where the duties included any combination of analytical work and statistics, professional report writing and involvement in program and/or policy development.
