This document provides a detailed description of the SSHCRF, as well as two possible applications for the data files: to link to Cost-to-Charge Ratio (CCR) files (also available from HCUP) or to calculate department-level cost-to-charge ratios. This document also furnishes an annotated bibliography of studies utilizing cost-to-charge ratios to provide insight into the uses of CCRs.
